A small park on Hirugano Highland laid out around the watershed divide between the Pacific side and the Sea of Japan side. Inside, you can see water splitting and flowing off in two directions: one heads through the Nagara River (長良川) to the Pacific, the other through the Sho River (庄川) to the Sea of Japan. The fact that rain falling in the same place reaches entirely different seas makes an unforgettable story for a child. Surrounded by trees, the grounds are cool as you would expect of the highlands, and the scale is just right for a morning walk. Thinking that the water you will play in today also flows out from near this divide creates a connection through the day.

郡上市高鷲町のレジャー施設「ひるがの高原牧歌の里」のキッズパーク内にある水遊び場「ひるがの高原牧歌の里じゃぶじゃぶ池」です。2026年は7月4日(土)から9月中旬まで、オープンから16:30まで利用できます。標高1000メートルのひるがの高原にあるため、平地より空気が涼しく、真夏でも子どもが遊びやすい気候なのがいちばんの魅力です。池は浅くつくられていて、まだ泳げない小さな子でも自分の足で歩きながら水に親しめます。まわりには花畑と牧場が広がり、水遊びの合間に動物を見に行ったり、芝生で休んだりと過ごし方が自由です。夏休みの旅行の一日を、この高原で丸ごと使う価値のある場所です。

Tips

じゃぶじゃぶ池は土足では入れません。裸足になるか、水遊び用サンダルを持参してください。おむつがとれていない子は水遊び用おむつの着用が必須です。専用の更衣室はないので、水着を服の下に着てから出かけ、帰りはタオルで手早く着替えられる準備をしておきましょう。雨天は中止です。当日の実施は公式サイトや現地の案内で確認してください。利用は16:30までなので、この時間を目安に片づけを始めます。入園には料金が必要です。金額は公式サイトで確認してください。高原は夕方に一気に冷えるので、羽織りものを必ず用意しましょう。

Tips

Visiting is free. The grounds have plenty of shade and stay cool, so a light layer is comfortable in the morning. Boardwalks and earth paths can get wet and slippery, so wear shoes that are easy to walk in. There are many insects in summer, so insect repellent is reassuring. It takes only a short time, making it an easy stop to combine with your next plan.
