Urayasu General Park West Area Fountain Plaza (浦安総合公園西地区 噴水広場) is a free water feature in the Urayasu General Park West Area in Minami Ward, Okayama City. In 2026 the water is scheduled to run from Monday, June 15 to Wednesday, October 14, from 9:00 to 17:00. Beneath the fountain, built on a theme of water and greenery, a shallow pool forms where even small children can safely enjoy the spray. Right nearby are the largest lawn plaza in the city and large play equipment, so when they tire of the water they move to the equipment, and when they tire of that they go back to the water. Letting children keep playing at their own pace is this park's great strength. There is a management office, which is reassuring for families who need to ask for help. Since it is free, you can also just drop in for a short while.

Tips

On Mondays (Tuesdays when Monday is a holiday) it is closed until 13:30 for cleaning. If you go on a Monday, plan for the afternoon. Bodies get cold after water play, so bring a change of clothes and a towel for each person. Parking is free for the first two hours, then 100 yen per hour up to 500 yen per day, so having coins ready is reassuring. Shade is limited to the trees and the area around the play equipment, so setting up your own rest spot with a picnic sheet or pop-up tent keeps everyone fresher over a long stay.
