About this spot

Okayama's gateway to the skies, right next to Nichioji Nature Forest Sports Plaza. The terminal building has an observation deck where you can look down at parked aircraft and the runway up close. The moment an aircraft roars into motion and lifts lightly into the air draws cheers from children no matter how many times they see it. There are restaurants and shops inside, so you can have lunch on the spot without extra travel. Resting indoors in the air conditioning means everyone will be energetic for the afternoon water play.

岡山市北区にある「日応寺自然の森スポーツ広場こども広場噴水」は、森に囲まれた無料の水遊びスポットです。こども広場の噴水と修景池で水しぶきをあげて遊べ、すぐ横には木製複合遊具があるので、水と遊具を行き来しながら長い時間を過ごせます。園内にはフィットネス広場やパターゴルフ場もあり、上の子や大人も一緒に体を動かせるのがこの公園の懐の深いところ。岡山空港が近く、遊んでいる最中に飛行機が頭上を通っていくのも子どもには大きな見どころです。市街地より木立が濃く、付き添う大人が休める日陰を見つけやすいのも助かります。

2026年の噴水の開設期間は未発表です。例年は夏休み期間なので、出発前に岡山市の案内で当日水が出るかを確認してください。公園は9:00〜17:00の開園で、月曜(祝日の場合は翌日)は休園なので曜日を必ず確かめましょう。森の中なので蚊やハチがいます。虫よけを持参し、甘い飲み物の飲み残しは放置しないでください。着替えとタオル、濡れた服を入れるビニール袋は人数分そろえておくと帰りが楽になります。

Tips

Departure and arrival times differ by day, so check the timetable as soon as you arrive and head out to the observation deck in time for a departing aircraft. The observation deck has little shade and can be windy, so take care that hats do not blow away. Restaurants can be crowded at midday, so shifting a little earlier or later makes for a calmer meal. Opening hours and the lineup of shops can change, so checking the official information beforehand is reassuring.
