The ‘Kojima District Park Pop Jet Fountain’ in Kojima, Kurashiki City, is a free water-play spot where columns of water shoot up from the ground. Since the spots and timing of the water change, children end up running around guessing where the next one will appear, and this simple setup keeps them entertained for a surprisingly long time. Since only your feet get wet, even young children who can't swim yet can join in. The Kojima Marine Pool, with diving platforms, is also located on the same grounds as a separate paid facility. Choose the pool on days you feel like swimming, or the fountain on days you just want to cool off casually, depending on your energy that day. It is also conveniently located near the center of Kojima, the denim town, so you can flow straight into it from the morning's sightseeing.

The 2026 operating period for the fountain has not yet been announced. In past years it has run during summer vacation, so check Kurashiki City's information before heading out to confirm whether the water will be running that day. The Kojima Marine Pool is a separate paid facility, with fees, hours, and swimming conditions that differ from the fountain; check in advance if you plan to use it. The ground around the fountain becomes slippery when wet, so remind children not to run, and have them wear sandals or water shoes that won't come off easily. It's reassuring to bring a change of clothes, a towel, and a plastic bag for wet clothes for each person.
