The Kyogamaru Green Park Water Play Area in Ihara City is a summer water play spot inside a large recreation facility spread over hilly ground. You can get into the water right after working up a sweat on the 80m long slide and the adventure playground, and that natural flow of play is this facility's strength. Basic use is free, with some facilities charging a fee. The park also has an auto campsite and a putter golf course, so there is enough range to choose how to spend the day according to the size and ages of your family. A wisteria trellis running 300m casts a long stretch of shade, so the adults keeping watch are never short of somewhere to rest. Being on a hill, the breeze passes through and it feels more comfortable than the town below.

The 2026 opening period for the water play area has not been announced. In a typical year it covers the summer holidays, so check with the facility information before you set out to confirm the water will be running that day. There are many slopes on the hill, so carrying your change of clothes and towels right up to the water play area saves a round trip. Heading to the slide or the play equipment with wet feet is dangerous, so agree in advance to dry off before moving. When the sun is strong, make use of the indoor play facility Wakuwaku Dragon House or the shade of the wisteria trellis. Bring a change of clothes, a towel, and a plastic bag for wet clothes for each person to make the trip home easy.
