Wide-Area Park Family Land
About this spot
The large combination play structure shaped like a pirate ship could be called the symbol of Family Land. Slides, nets, and stairs are put together so children can play as though they had boarded a ship and set out to explore. Adventure equipment and rafts stand around it, and it is a pleasure that each age can choose how to play. Because it is right beside the splash pond, you can move to the equipment when the water gets old and back to the water when the equipment makes you sweat, a way of spending the day unique to this park. The structure photographs well, so this is the spot for a family picture.

岩手郡雫石町の御所湖のほとりに広がる岩手県立御所湖広域公園 ファミリーランドの中にある、無料の水遊び場が「岩手県立御所湖広域公園 ファミリーランド ジャブジャブ池」です。4月中旬から10月末まで水遊びができる長いシーズンが特徴で、真夏はもちろん、初夏や秋口の暖かい日にも水にふれて遊べます。すぐ隣には噴水池があり、吹き上がる水と浅い池を行き来しながら遊べるのが子どもには何よりの楽しみ。まわりを海賊船の大型複合遊具やいかだ、アスレチック、大芝生広場が囲んでいるので、水に飽きたらすぐに次の遊びに移れます。御所湖と山並みを眺めながら過ごす水辺の時間は、雫石ならではののびやかさがあります。
Tips
池清掃のため数日間利用できない場合があります。2026年は6月1日から3日までが清掃休止でしたが、これは終了済みです。2026年の開始日は「4月中旬」としか公表されていないため、出発前に公園の最新のお知らせで稼働状況を必ず確認してください。池の底で足を切らないよう、マリンシューズなど足を守れる履物を用意しましょう。おむつが取れていない子の入水可否は現地の掲示に従ってください。日陰が少ないので日よけと水分補給を忘れずに。着替えは水着を下に着ていくとスムーズです。ゴミは各自持ち帰りです。
Tips
In summer the metal and plastic parts get hot, so touch the slide with your hand to check the temperature before using it. Sandals slip off easily and can catch on the equipment, so changing into shoes with heel straps while playing is safer. Queues form during busy hours. You will sweat before the water play, so keep drinking regularly.
Best time to visit
About 1 hour. When the sun is strong it is best to cut this short and move on to the water
