Located in Kitayoshizu-cho in Fukuyama City, this is a distinctive museum gathering classic cars and clocks. Its charm is that you can look, touch and even climb aboard. You can sit in the driver's seat of many of the cars on display and take photos, which makes for an unforgettable experience for children. Wall clocks and table clocks from countries around the world line the halls, and the moment when they all begin to chime on the hour is a highlight. Being an indoor facility, it is also a reliable refuge from the midday heat of high summer. It is within walking distance of Fukuyama Castle.

緑町公園親水広場(噴水施設)は、福山市の緑町公園にある街なかの水遊びスポットです。例年5月14日(木)から9月30日(水)まで、10:00〜17:00に稼働し、約10分おきに音楽に合わせてミストや水玉が吹き出します。ただ水が出るのではなく音楽と連動しているため、次の一吹きを待つ時間そのものがイベントになります。利用は無料で、水深のあるプールではないので、小さな子でも自分のペースで水にふれられるのが安心なところ。福山駅から歩いて行ける立地なので、電車でも気軽に来られます。夏休みの午後、街歩きの締めくくりにちょうどよい場所です。

Tips

稼働は例年5月14日(木)〜9月30日(水)の10:00〜17:00です。年によって変わることがあるため、出発前に福山市の案内で確認してください。専用の更衣室はないので、水着を服の下に着ていくと着替えがスムーズです。水がかかった床は滑りやすいため、走らないよう声をかけましょう。日陰が限られるので、帽子と飲み物は必ず持参を。着替えとタオルは人数分より少し多めに用意すると安心です。

Tips

Admission is charged. Please check the fee, opening hours and closed days on the official website. When climbing into the cars, follow the staff's guidance so the exhibits are not damaged. The displays are divided by floor, so there is movement up and down stairs. If you have a stroller, it is reassuring to ask at the entrance. This is a place where photography is fun, so check that your camera or phone is charged.
