Sunami Seaside Park is a seaside park in Mihara facing the Seto Inland Sea. Its greatest feature is a barrier-free design with a ramp leading all the way to the sand. Strollers and wheelchairs can both reach the edge of the beach, so the whole family can enjoy the sea view together. Before the water play, spread a sheet in the shade of the trees and have your lunch box. Ships pass right in front of you and the silhouettes of the islands slowly change color, in a calm flow of time. After eating, resting a little and letting everyone settle before moving on to the water play area is the safer approach.

三原市すなみ海浜公園水遊び場(噴水)は、2026年は7月11日(土)から8月23日(日)まで、9:00〜17:00に開設されます。水深は約10cmと浅く、噴水が出るので、水に慣れていない小さな子でも自分のペースで遊べます。隣には水深50cmと70cmの幼児プールが同時に開設され、小さな滑り台もついているため、きょうだいで年齢に合わせた遊び方を選べるのがうれしいところ。すなみ海浜公園は砂浜までスロープを設けたバリアフリー公園なので、ベビーカーでの移動もしやすい造りです。海のすぐそばという立地で、潮風を感じながら水遊びできるのがこの場所ならではの魅力。夕方まで開いているので、日差しがやわらぐ時間まで長く過ごせます。

料金については公式の案内で確認してください。開設は7月11日(土)〜8月23日(日)の9:00〜17:00です。隣の幼児プールは水深50cm・70cmと水遊び場より深いので、必ず保護者が付き添ってください。着替えの設備については事前に三原市の案内で確認しておくと安心です。海辺で日差しが強いため、日焼け止めはこまめに塗り直しを。濡れた床は滑りやすいので、走らないよう声をかけましょう。

Places to buy food inside the park are limited, so preparing a lunch box and drinks on the way is the sure bet. There is little to block the sun on the sand, so claim a spot in the shade of the trees early. As a rule, take your rubbish home with you. Gathering your things into one large bag keeps sand out and makes packing up easier.
