This is one of the largest sports parks in the prefecture, spreading across Seifu Shinto in Asaminami Ward, Hiroshima City. The vast grounds dotted with stadiums and sports arenas feel pleasant just to walk through, making them ideal for a morning stroll. Built on hilly terrain, the park offers open views, and the breeze slipping between the trees feels cooler than in town. On days without competitions it is quiet, and being able to wander at leisure as a family is its charm. Kasugano Central Park is only a short drive away, so this makes a perfect first stop of the morning.

春日野中央公園親水広場(せせらぎ)は、公園内につくられた人工の小川です。流れはゆるやかで水深も浅いため、歩き始めたばかりの子でも安心して足をひたせます。プールのように区切られた空間ではなく、水路をたどって歩けるので、探検のような楽しみ方ができるのがこの場所のよさ。すぐそばに大型複合遊具と芝生広場があり、遊びの種類を変えながら1日を過ごせます。四阿やシェルターが整っているので、日差しを避けて交代で休めるのも家族連れにはありがたい点です。利用は無料で、思い立った日に立ち寄れる気軽さがあります。

Tips

On days when competitions or events are held, the car park gets crowded and general use may be restricted. Checking the event schedule in advance is reassuring. The grounds are extremely large, so deciding beforehand how far you will walk keeps everyone from tiring out. Some areas have no permanent kiosk, so bring your own drinks. There are stretches with strong sunshine, so do not forget a hat.
