This sports park spreads across the Seifu Shinto (西風新都) area of Asaminami Ward, Hiroshima City, and ranks among the largest in the prefecture. Its vast grounds, dotted with stadiums and sports facilities, feel great just to walk through, making it an ideal spot for a morning stroll. Built on hilly terrain, it offers good views, and the breeze passing between the trees feels cooler than in town. On days without competitions or events, it's quiet, and its charm lies in being able to walk leisurely as a family. It's just a short drive to Kasugano Central Park (春日野中央公園), making this a perfect first stop of the morning.

Tips

On days when competitions or events are held, the parking lot gets crowded and general use may be restricted, so it's reassuring to check the event schedule in advance. The grounds are very large, so deciding on a walking range beforehand helps you avoid overdoing it. Some areas don't have a permanent shop, so bring your own drinks. There are stretches with strong sun exposure, so don't forget a hat.
