Higashi-Nakatomi Sakura-zutsumi Park Seseragi Plaza (splash pond) is a free water play area centered on the large pond and waterfall in the middle of the park. You can walk along the pond and stream that continue on from the falls, so rather than just sitting and splashing each other, you can play as though exploring, and that is what makes this place special. The pond is filled with tap water, which reassures families letting small children play. Behind the waterfall is a rock tunnel, cool inside thanks to a mist, and on hot days it is a popular spot children go in and out of over and over. When they tire of the water they can move to the play equipment at Wanpaku Plaza or the lawn plaza, and the shade of the cherry trees lining the embankment, true to the Sakura-zutsumi name, serves as a resting place, so the whole day can be completed within the park.

The opening period has not been announced. Neither Aizumi Town nor Tokushima Prefecture has published the water-flow period, so be sure to check the local water conditions before you set out. There is no fee. The falls and the rocks around them get wet and slippery, so water shoes or sandals that will not slip off are essential. Check on site whether changing rooms are available, and preparing to change in the car or with a towel poncho is reassuring. Never take your eyes off small children, and on days when the water feels cold, wrap up early.
