Fukutokusen Park Water Plaza and Waterway

The Fukutokusen Park Water Plaza and Waterway is the water-play area of an educational water-friendly park in Kanzaki and Tsuruyoshi, Masaki Town, Iyo District. The park's great distinguishing feature is that it is designed so that you can experience three ways of living with water through play: flood control, water use and water-friendly design. Watching the water flow out of the welling spring and travel along the channel is interesting in itself, and children naturally start putting their hands and feet in to test the current. The water is shallow and the flow gentle, so even small children can play at their own pace. Admission is free. The 2026 opening period has not been announced, and in ordinary years the facility opens during the summer holidays, so please be sure to check Masaki Town's official guidance before you set out.

Tips

The bottom of the waterway is slippery, so always have children wear sandals that will not come off, or water shoes. It is not a swimming pool, so do not assume there are changing rooms or showers; go in clothes that can get wet, or be ready to change in the car. Small children should wear swim nappies. Note that the water is turned off on some days for cleaning and inspection, and you should leave immediately if you hear thunder. As a rule, take your rubbish home with you.
