Okura Park

About this spot

A park in Momoyamacho, Obu City, developed on the grounds of a businessman's former villa. The thatched gate standing at the entrance is the landmark, and inside, groves and small paths run on in a quiet you would not expect in town. It is also known for its azaleas, and in season the slopes fill with color. The grounds are not too large, making it just the right size to walk with young children. Walking it while thinking back on the story of Obu you saw at the museum of history and folklore opens up family conversation. Take a short walk through the greenery before the water play to shift gears.

Venue: 大府市・大府みどり公園

大府市の大府みどり公園にある無料の水遊び場、「大府みどり公園じゃぶじゃぶ池」です。年度単位(4月1日〜翌3月31日)の通年開設で、令和8年度も清掃カレンダーどおりに運用されます。タイル敷きの広場から高さ約5メートルの噴水が吹き上がり、水の下をくぐったり走り抜けたりするだけで子どもは大よろこび。深い池ではないので、小さな子でも親が近くで見守りやすいつくりです。園内にはバーベキュー場と管理事務所が併設されていて、家族での過ごし方を組み立てやすいのも魅力。料金は無料なので、短時間だけ立ち寄る使い方もできます。

Tips

管理棟の休館日(月曜、祝日の場合は翌日)は噴水が出ません。清掃日は月曜9:00〜12:00と木曜9:00〜11:00で、年間40日設定されており、その時間は利用できません。月曜を避け、木曜なら午後に訪れるのが確実です。訪問日の運用は公式サイトの清掃カレンダーで事前に確認しましょう。水遊び後は水道で体をよく流し、木陰で休憩をはさみながら遊ぶと熱中症を防げます。おむつが取れていない子には水遊び用おむつを用意してください。

Tips

Some paths have slopes, so comfortable walking shoes are reassuring. There is plenty of shade, but do not forget drinks. Keeping it to a short walk rather than a long stay leaves everyone with energy for the afternoon water play.
