The Splash Fountain Pool at Kariya Traffic Children's Park is a free water-play area in Kariya City. In 2026 it opens on Monday, June 1, and can be used until Wednesday, September 30, from 9:00 to 16:00. Both admission and water play are free; the only cost is 50 yen per ride on the large playground equipment. Tired of the water, go to the equipment; tired of the equipment, back to the water. The way children can keep playing at their own pace is what makes this park so good. Diaper-changing beds, a nursing room, an AED, and a wheelchair-accessible restroom are all in place, so families with babies and small children can settle in with confidence. Since it is free, you can also just drop by briefly in the evening.

Tips

The park is closed on Wednesdays (when Wednesday is a public holiday, the following day is closed instead). It is suspended on Thursday, August 6, 2026, for facility repairs, so plan around that date. Operation ends at 16:00, so counting back for packing up and changing, getting out of the water around 15:30 lets you head home unhurried. After water play, rinse off well at the taps and take breaks in the shade to prevent heatstroke. Children still in diapers should wear swim diapers.
