This museum introduces the history and life of Chita City. A highlight is the exhibit on Chita cotton weaving, once the area's main industry, the lineup of tools for spinning thread and weaving cloth conjures up an era when fabric was made in homes throughout the town. Fitting for land facing Ise Bay, the museum also has a rich collection of materials on fishing and shipping. The exhibition rooms are compact, so even small children can make it all the way around while their attention still holds, a nice fit for families. Indoors and air-conditioned, it's a cool way to spend the morning before the sun grows strong.
