About this spot

This seaside park along the coast of Chita City has an artificial sandy beach and open plaza. Facing Ise Bay, it offers an open, expansive feeling, with views reaching the opposite shore on a clear day. Small children can engage with the sea at their own pace, walking along the water's edge searching for shells, or leaving footprints in the sand. Experiencing the sea water here, distinct from the pond and water-play area you'll visit later, lets you feel the different faces water takes over the course of the day. There's little to block the sun, so keeping the visit relatively short is recommended.

Tips

Whether swimming is allowed and other usage rules change depending on the season, so follow the posted signage on site. The sand gets very hot during the day, so be sure to have children wear sandals. If they get wet with seawater, dry them off with a towel, and it's reassuring to keep a change of clothes in reserve for the afternoon's water play.

Best time to visit

About 1 hour. With little shade along this breezy shoreline, a short visit rather than a long stay is the more comfortable way to enjoy it
