The Sori Green and Flower Park (佐布里 緑と花のふれあい公園) Water Play Area in Chita City is a free water-play spot within the park spreading along the shore of Sori Pond (佐布里池). The official announcement only states from July 2026, with no closing date published, but going by past years it should be usable until around late September, from 9:00 to 17:00. Since the water is shallow, it's easy even for small children to get in, and it's reassuring that parents can watch over them closely while they play. Water-play toys can be borrowed at the reception at the Ume-no-Yakata Hall (梅の館ホール), though the supply is limited, so borrowing early in the day is the surest bet. Surrounded by flowers and greenery, once children tire of the water you can switch things up by strolling the grounds or resting in the shade. Since admission is free, it also works well for a short drop-by visit.

The park is closed Mondays and over the New Year holiday. Bringing a change of clothes and towels is recommended, and this is also advised officially. Since the closing date has not been announced, check the official website for opening status if you visit in September. It's open until 17:00, so working backward to allow time for packing up and changing, getting out of the water around 16:30 lets you leave without rushing. After playing in the water, rinse off well, and taking shaded breaks between play helps prevent heatstroke. For children who aren't yet potty-trained, please bring swim diapers.

About 3 hours. The afternoon, once the sunlight softens, is recommended, and arriving early is the surest way to borrow toys
