This Shinagawa City (品川区) park was developed on the grounds that once held the Mitsui Bunko (三井文庫) archive. The Western-style building from that era still stands, and its setting against greenery and water creates an atmosphere you would not expect from a park in the middle of town. A promenade circles the large pond, so you can take a slow lap while looking into the water. The gentle grassy slope is just right for children to roll down, and some are satisfied simply running about. Ebara Minami Park (荏原南公園) is within walking distance, making this a pleasant place to begin the day.

荏原南公園ミスト噴射付き岩山（水遊び）は、品川区の荏原南公園にある無料の水遊びスポットです。霧（ミスト）を噴射する岩山の遊具が人工芝の広場に据えられていて、30分ごとに5分間ミストが噴き出します。プールのように水につかるのではなく、白い霧の中を走り抜けたり岩山によじ登ったりする遊び方なので、水が苦手な子どもでも参加しやすいのが特徴です。園内には大型複合遊具や砂場、多目的広場もそろっているため、噴射の合間も遊びが途切れません。2026年は7/1(水)から9/30(水)頃までの9:00〜16:30を想定していますが、区の公式表記は例年「秋ごろまで稼働」とのみで終了日は明記されていません。料金は無料です。

Tips

稼働の期間と終了日は公式に明記されていないため、出発前に品川区の公式ページで稼働状況を確認してください。ミストは30分ごとに5分間なので、噴射のタイミングを現地で確かめてから遊びの順番を決めると効率よく過ごせます。人工芝はぬれると滑りやすくなるので、かかとの留まるサンダルを履かせましょう。霧を浴びると衣服がしっかりぬれるので、着替えとタオルは人数分用意してください。

Tips

The interior of the Western-style building is sometimes open only during events, so it is easier to plan on viewing it from the outside. Parts of the pond edge have low fencing, so keep an eye on small children. The lawn can be wet with dew in the morning. Locating the toilets first makes the visit easier.
