Shinagawa City Togoshi Park (戸越公園)

About this spot

This Shinagawa City (品川区) park was opened on land that held the garden of the lower residence of the Hosokawa family of the Kumamoto domain (熊本藩細川家). The pond, artificial hills and stone arrangements remain, so even in a residential district of central Tokyo (東京) you can sense the character of a feudal lord's garden. There is a playground area inside as well, which helpfully lets children play after the garden walk. Passing through the gate, the air seems to change, and even a short visit leaves a real sense of having been somewhere. Togoshi Ginza Shopping Street (戸越銀座商店街) is within walking distance.

荏原南公園ミスト噴射付き岩山（水遊び）は、品川区の荏原南公園にある無料の水遊びスポットです。霧（ミスト）を噴射する岩山の遊具が人工芝の広場に据えられていて、30分ごとに5分間ミストが噴き出します。プールのように水につかるのではなく、白い霧の中を走り抜けたり岩山によじ登ったりする遊び方なので、水が苦手な子どもでも参加しやすいのが特徴です。園内には大型複合遊具や砂場、多目的広場もそろっているため、噴射の合間も遊びが途切れません。2026年は7/1(水)から9/30(水)頃までの9:00〜16:30を想定していますが、区の公式表記は例年「秋ごろまで稼働」とのみで終了日は明記されていません。料金は無料です。

Tips

稼働の期間と終了日は公式に明記されていないため、出発前に品川区の公式ページで稼働状況を確認してください。ミストは30分ごとに5分間なので、噴射のタイミングを現地で確かめてから遊びの順番を決めると効率よく過ごせます。人工芝はぬれると滑りやすくなるので、かかとの留まるサンダルを履かせましょう。霧を浴びると衣服がしっかりぬれるので、着替えとタオルは人数分用意してください。

Tips

There are many stones around the pond and the footing is uneven in places, so remind children not to run. The garden section has plenty of shade and is easy to walk even in high summer. Check the opening hours on the park's notices or the city's information. Strollers are easier to push if you keep to the wider paths.
