The Honmachi Sakura Park Water Play Facility (Splash Pad) is a free water play area in Honmachi Sakura Park in Shibuya Ward. In 2026 it runs from Wednesday, July 1 to Thursday, September 24, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and since it's open until evening, you can spend the morning elsewhere and still have plenty of time to play. The water is built shallow, so even toddlers just learning to walk can move around on their own. Despite being close to the high-rise district of Nishi-Shinjuku, the surrounding area is a quiet residential neighborhood, and it functions as an everyday play spot for local families. Since it's free, part of the appeal is being able to head out on a whim depending on the weather.

Changing space is limited, so wearing swimwear underneath your clothes shortens the time needed to get ready on site.
