Komazawa Olympic Park

One of the largest parks in Tokyo, laid out as a venue for the 1964 Tokyo Olympics. The Olympic Memorial Tower stands in the Central Plaza where the stadium and the gymnasium are lined up, and a park path runs all the way around it. The jogging course and the cycling course are kept separate, which is reassuring when you are walking with a child. The children's park and the lawn plaza are spacious too, making this just the right place to open a bento after running about. Meguro Kumin Campus Park is a short trip away by bicycle or bus, and is also within walking distance.

めぐろ区民キャンパス公園流れは、目黒区八雲のめぐろ区民キャンパス公園にある無料の水遊び場です。2026年の稼働期間は4/25(土)から11/8(日)まで、時間は10:00〜16:00で、区の公式表記は例年「4月下旬から11月上旬まで」となっています。目黒区内の水遊び場のなかでもっとも長い期間動いているのが特徴で、真夏だけでなく春や秋の陽気のよい日にも足を入れて遊べます。水は塩素等で消毒管理されており、流れは浅く造られているので、歩きはじめの小さな子どもでも自分の足で進めます。隣には八雲中央図書館とめぐろパーシモンホールがあり、休憩や雨宿りの行き先に困らないのも助かるところです。料金は無料で、地域の家族連れが日常的に使う遊び場になっています。

Tips

点検日は月1回ほどあり、その日は利用できません。出発前に区の公式ページで開設状況を確認してください。春や秋は気温が上がっても水はまだ冷たいので、上がったあとにすぐ羽織れるものを用意しておくと体が冷えません。着替えの場所は限られるため、水着を下に着ていくと現地での支度が短く済みます。隣接するホールで催しがある日は周辺が混み合うことがあります。

Tips

The grounds are very large, so decide which gate to enter from beforehand and you will not get lost. The cycling course has bicycle rental and suits children who are practising, but check the hours of use and the fees on the signage on site. There are shops and vending machines, but in high summer it is safer to carry in plenty to drink. Rubbish is taken home as a rule.
