About this spot

A museum opened on the campus of Kokugakuin University in Higashi, Shibuya Ward. Many archaeological materials are on display, letting you see Jomon pottery, haniwa figures and other things you have only seen in textbooks for real. The Shinto exhibits are also extensive, giving an easy-to-follow introduction to Japanese festivals and forms of faith. Although it is a university facility, it is open to the public, and its calm atmosphere lets you take your time. Ebisu Higashi Park (恵比寿東公園) is within walking distance.

恵比寿東公園親水施設（水遊び場）は、渋谷区の恵比寿東公園にある無料の水遊び場です。2026年の開設期間は7/1(水)から9/24(木)まで、時間は9:00〜17:00です。この公園は大きなタコの形をした造形遊具があることから「タコ公園」の通称で親しまれており、水遊び場のほかにもブランコ、砂場、鉄棒、芝生広場がそろっています。水から上がったあとにタコの遊具によじ登ったり、芝生で寝転んだりと、遊びを切り替えられるのがこの公園の強みです。恵比寿駅から歩ける立地なので、電車だけで通えるのも都心らしい便利さです。料金は無料で、地域の家族連れが日常的に集まる場所になっています。

Tips

清掃日にあたる毎週水曜日の午前は利用できません。また気象状況によって開設が変更になることがあるので、出発前に渋谷区の公式ページで状況を確認してください。飲食物の持込とペットの入水はできません。着替えの場所は限られるため、水着を下に着ていくと現地での支度が短く済みます。タコの遊具は表面が日差しで熱くなることがあるので、上がる前に手で温度を確かめてあげましょう。

The galleries are a place for quiet viewing, so tell children not to run.
