Shibuya Hikawa Shrine (渋谷氷川神社)

A shrine in Higashi, Shibuya Ward, counted among the oldest in Shibuya. Step one block off the main street and a precinct surrounded by trees opens up, with the bustle of the city suddenly far away. There is a sumo ring in the grounds, and the shrine has long been known for sumo dedications handed down since the Edo period. The shade is deep, which makes it easy to walk here even late in a midsummer morning. Ebisu Higashi Park (恵比寿東公園) is only a few minutes away on foot, so it fits naturally into the walk towards the afternoon water play.

恵比寿東公園親水施設（水遊び場）は、渋谷区の恵比寿東公園にある無料の水遊び場です。2026年の開設期間は7/1(水)から9/24(木)まで、時間は9:00〜17:00です。この公園は大きなタコの形をした造形遊具があることから「タコ公園」の通称で親しまれており、水遊び場のほかにもブランコ、砂場、鉄棒、芝生広場がそろっています。水から上がったあとにタコの遊具によじ登ったり、芝生で寝転んだりと、遊びを切り替えられるのがこの公園の強みです。恵比寿駅から歩ける立地なので、電車だけで通えるのも都心らしい便利さです。料金は無料で、地域の家族連れが日常的に集まる場所になっています。

Tips

清掃日にあたる毎週水曜日の午前は利用できません。また気象状況によって開設が変更になることがあるので、出発前に渋谷区の公式ページで状況を確認してください。飲食物の持込とペットの入水はできません。着替えの場所は限られるため、水着を下に着ていくと現地での支度が短く済みます。タコの遊具は表面が日差しで熱くなることがあるので、上がる前に手で温度を確かめてあげましょう。

Tips

The precinct is a place to spend quietly, so tell children not to run or raise their voices. Parts of the approach are gravel and stone paving, so push strollers slowly to be safe. The hours the shrine office is staffed vary by day, so check in advance if you would like a goshuin seal. Vending machines are limited, so bringing your own drinks is the surest option.
