Iriarai Park Water Play Area (water-recreation facility)

About this spot

The Iriarai Park Water Play Area is a free water play spot in Iriarai Park (入新井公園) in Ota City. In 2026 it is scheduled to open from Tue, April 28 until around Wed, September 30, from 10:00 to 16:00; the closing date is not announced on the city official site, so late September is the usual guide. The facility consists of a waterfall and a pond, offering a range of ways to play, from reaching out toward the falling water to wading around the shallow pond. The water is filtered and disinfected, but it is not drinkable. Although it sits in a townscape within walking distance of JR Omori Station, it has become established as a place where local children can play freely. Because it opens at the end of April, another appeal is being able to touch the water without waiting for the height of summer.

Tips

It is closed on the regular cleaning days of August 12 and August 25. The closing date is not announced by the ward, so if you are visiting in September, check the opening status on the Ota City official page before you set out. The water is not drinkable, so be sure to bring your own drinks. In spring and early summer the water is still cold even when the air warms up, so having something to slip on right after getting out keeps you from getting chilled. Changing space is limited, so wearing swimwear underneath shortens the preparation.

Best time to visit

Arrive at 13:45 and you can play for more than two hours until the 16:00 closing
