About this spot

A park just beside Tamagawa Station (多摩川駅), characterized by a spring-fed pond and abundant trees. Water welling up from the slope forms the pond, and because trees surround it, the air stays cool even in high summer. There is also an open space in the grounds, making it just the right setting to spread a picnic sheet in the shade and eat a bento. At the pond you can spot familiar creatures such as spot-billed ducks and dragonflies, and children never tire of simply peering into the water. Unoki Matsuyama Park is a short ride away on the Tokyu Tamagawa Line.

鵜の木松山公園水遊び場（親水施設）は、大田区の鵜の木松山公園にある無料の水遊び場です。2026年は4/30(木)から9/30(水)頃までの10:00〜16:00で開設される予定で、終了日は区の公式で公表されていないため例年9月末までというのが目安になります。施設は水の流れる形式で、水深が浅いため歩きはじめの小さな子どもでも自分の足で進めます。水はろ過・殺菌管理されていますが飲用はできません。公園は住宅街の高台にあり、木立に囲まれているので、遊び疲れたらすぐ日陰で休めるのが助かるところです。東急多摩川線の鵜の木駅から歩ける立地で、電車だけで通えます。

Tips

定期清掃日の8/3と8/21は休止します。終了日は区の公式で公表されていないので、9月に訪ねる場合は出発前に大田区の公式ページで開設状況を確認してください。水は飲用できないため、飲み物は必ず持参しましょう。春や初夏は水がまだ冷たいので、上がったあとにすぐ羽織れるものを用意しておくと体が冷えません。着替えの場所は限られるため、水着を下に着ていくと支度が短く済みます。

Tips

Picking up your bento around Tamagawa Station or Denenchofu Station (田園調布駅) before heading over makes things smooth. Some spots around the pond have low fences, so keep an eye on small children. As a rule, take your trash home, so bring a bag. Avoid entering the water right after eating; resting for 20 to 30 minutes before going to change is the safer approach.
