The Kamata 1-chome Park Water Play Area (waterside facility) is a free water play spot in Kamata 1-chome Park, Ota Ward. In 2026 it is scheduled to open from Thursday 4/30 until around Wednesday 9/30, from 10:00 to 16:00; because the ward does not announce the closing date officially, the end of September is the usual guide. The facility has both a stream and a pond, allowing two ways to play: walking along the stream, or crouching by the pond to scoop up water. Toddlers who have just started walking can use the pond while children old enough to run about can use the stream, so being able to choose by age is convenient. The water is filtered and disinfected but is not drinkable. It is within walking distance of JR Kamata Station, so you can get there by train alone.

It closes on the regular cleaning days of 7/29, 8/7, 8/14 and 8/27. Several closures fall during the summer holidays, so always check before fixing your date. The ward does not announce the closing date officially, so if you visit in September, confirm the opening status on the official Ota Ward page. The water is not drinkable, so be sure to bring your own drinks. Changing space is limited, so wearing swimwear under your clothes shortens preparation.
