Keihin Kamata Park Water Play Area (waterside facility)

About this spot

The Keihin Kamata Park Water Play Area (waterside facility) is a free water play spot in Keihin Kamata Park, Ota Ward. In 2026 it is scheduled to open from Monday 4/27 until around Wednesday 9/30, from 10:00 to 16:00; because the ward does not announce the closing date officially, the end of September is the usual guide. This facility takes the form of a fountain, so play involves reaching out toward the rising water and running between the jets. It is not a place where you soak in deep water, so even children who dislike water can easily join in. The water is filtered and disinfected but is not drinkable. It sits in a town area within walking distance of Keikyu Kamata Station, and being reachable by train alone is another convenience.

Tips

It closes on the regular cleaning day of 8/7. The ward does not announce the closing date officially, so if you visit in September, confirm the opening status on the official Ota Ward page before setting out. The water is not drinkable, so be sure to bring your own drinks. The ground around the fountain gets wet and slippery, so have children wear sandals with heel straps and remind them not to run. Changing space is limited, so wearing swimwear under your clothes shortens preparation.

Best time to visit

Enter at 13:20 and you can play for more than two and a half hours until closing at 16:00
