The Shimomaruko Park Water Play Area (Waterfront Facility) is a free water-play spot at Shimomaruko Park in Ota City. In 2026, it's scheduled to be open from Thursday, April 30 to around Wednesday, September 30, from 10:00 to 16:00, and can be used from 9:00 during the summer break period, July 24 to August 24. Since the closing date isn't officially announced by the ward, late September is a rough guide based on past years. The facility has both a stream and a pond, letting you play two ways: walking along the stream, or crouching by the pond to scoop up water. It's convenient that you can choose the spot to match your child's age - the pond for small children who have just started walking, and the stream for kids old enough to run around.
