About this spot

A large park with a pond and lawns, integrated with the Tochigi Prefectural Museum. A walking path runs along the pond, and the breeze crossing the water feels pleasant even in summer. There is also an area arranged in the style of a Japanese garden, and simply walking slowly while taking breaks changes your mood. It's a good spot for spreading out a bento on a shaded bench or on the lawn, making it a convenient rest stop after the museum. Walking while looking for waterfowl and dragonflies keeps children entertained without getting bored.

Tips

Some areas near the pond have no fencing, so don't let young children out of your sight. Don't count on there being a shop; it's more reliable to bring drinks and a bento with you in advance. The trick is not to walk too much here, so you'll have energy left for the water play in the afternoon.
