Sakura Park SAKURA Summer Splash 2026 (children's water play pool) is a large, purpose-built pool measuring 10m by 10m with 30cm of water depth, set up at Sakura Park's multipurpose plaza (inside Sakura Village) in Kochi City. It's open from Saturday, July 18 through Sunday, August 16, 2026, from 10:00 to 16:00, and admission is free. It's intended for ages 3–10, and a guardian must accompany children at all times—children may not enter alone. It runs on a rotating system of 30-minute sessions for up to 10 groups at a time, so young children can play freely with the number of people kept limited, which is reassuring. Two trained lifeguards are on duty at all times, and starting in 2026 mist-spraying fans have been added around the pool, easing the heat during wait times too. Showers and a foot-washing area make cleanup easy after playing.

Tips

Hours are 10:00–16:00, but details may change due to weather or crowding, so check the official information before heading out. Admission is free; only parking is charged (prepaid, 200 yen per 3 hours). There is no restroom in the park itself—use the restroom at Minamikubo Park next to the parking lot. Changing space is limited, so having kids wear their swimsuits under their clothes beforehand makes things go more smoothly. While waiting your turn, you can spend time at the fountain plaza where water randomly shoots up, the inflatable dome, or the lawn plaza.

Best time to visit

By the 2pm hour, the strongest sun of the day has passed, leaving plenty of time to play before closing at 16:00
