The Nakayama Park Mini Pool (中山公園ミニプール), located in Nakayama Park (中山公園) in Ichikawa City, will be open in 2026 from Saturday, July 18 to Monday, August 31 (closed every Friday, but open on July 24 and August 7). This small pool inside the park is designed for children from toddlers to around third grade. The shallow water means even children who are not yet used to the water can play while standing on their own feet, which is reassuring. There is no large slide or lazy river, but simply splashing water at each other and walking around is enough to captivate young children. The gentle flow of people is the biggest advantage, allowing parents to keep a close eye on their children without difficulty.

Tips

Since the target age range is toddlers through early elementary schoolers, older children may find it a bit lacking. Please check opening hours and usage rules in advance through Ichikawa City's information. Shade is limited, so bring a picnic sheet and hats, and take breaks while playing. The pool is closed on Fridays, but it is open on July 24 and August 7.

Best time to visit

About 2 to 3 hours from early afternoon is just the right length for young children's stamina.
