About this spot

Osaka Sayama Daishichi Municipal Pool (Daishichi Municipal Elementary School) is an initiative in which Osaka Sayama City opens the pool at Daishichi Municipal Elementary School to the community during summer vacation. In 2026, it runs from Tuesday, July 28 to Monday, August 24, open in two sessions, 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, with no closed days during the period. It has the calm atmosphere typical of a school pool, and without the crowds or flashiness of a leisure pool, it offers a relaxed way to enjoy the water. Neighborhood children naturally gather here, making it an easy spot to return to again and again as a summer vacation playground. Since it's staffed with lifeguards while open, it's also suitable for a child's first time playing in the water.

Tips

The pool is open in two sessions: 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. This course is timed for the afternoon session. Be sure to check fees, rules of use, and the eligible age range in advance through Osaka Sayama City's official information. The pool may close due to weather or water temperature, so check before heading out. Swim caps are often required, so bring enough for everyone in your group. Changing room facilities can be basic, so wearing your swimsuit underneath your clothes makes changing easier.
