Kohisa Children's Pool (恒久児童プール)

Flow of the course

About this spot

Kohisa Children's Pool is a summer-only children's pool located in the Kohisa area of Miyazaki City. It measures 10m by 20m, with two depth levels of 30cm and 50cm. Both are shallow enough for small children to stand and play safely, making it well-suited for a first experience of water play. Best of all, admission is free. In 2026 it is open from Thursday, July 23 to Monday, August 24, operating only in the morning from 10:00 to 12:00, and is closed on Wednesdays and from August 13 to 15. Morning-only hours might seem short at first glance, but since the afternoon sun is intense during Miyazaki's midsummer, being able to play and head home while it's still cool is actually a welcome arrangement for families.

Tips

As it's open for only two hours in the morning, it's best to arrive in time for the 10 o'clock opening. It's closed on Wednesdays and from August 13 to 15, so check the day of the week before you go. There is little shade, so don't forget sunscreen and a rash guard. Since it's free and there's no shop on site, be sure to bring your own drinks and towels.

Best time to visit

Arriving in time for the 10 o'clock opening lets you make full use of the two hours.
