About this spot

This historic shrine is said to be where Kiso Yoshinaka prayed for victory before the Battle of Kurikara Pass. A stately shrine hall stands amid the lush green grounds, letting visitors feel the weight of history in a quiet moment. Locals also cherish it as a deity for warding off misfortune, making it a perfect place for a calming visit ahead of the festival.
