About this spot

The outdoor lazy river pool at Nakatsugawa Onsen Qua Resort Yubunesawa (中津川温泉 クアリゾート湯舟沢) is an outdoor pool in Nakatsugawa City open daily in 2026 only during summer, from Saturday, July 18 to Sunday, August 30. Located within a corner of a hot spring resort in the Yubunesawa valley at the foot of Mount Ena, its outdoor lazy river and outdoor jacuzzi are open only during summer. Simply floating along and letting the current carry you feels great on its own, and the green of the surrounding mountains and the open sky become the scenery itself. Inside the facility there's a 20m x 3-lane indoor heated pool and a 63-meter water slide, so you can reassuringly move indoors during times of strong sunlight or on rainy days. A hot spring is also attached, so you can warm your body after playing before heading home.

Tips

Be sure to check fees and business hours on the facility's official page before heading out. The outdoor pool operates only during summer, and there may be days it's unusable depending on the weather. Since you can move between indoors and outdoors, switching to the indoor heated pool or water slide during times of strong sunlight helps conserve your energy. A swim cap may be required, so it's best to bring one just in case. For the hot spring at the end, having a separate towel from your pool towel makes things more comfortable.

Best time to visit

About 3 hours 30 minutes. In the afternoon, we recommend moving back and forth between outdoors and indoors.
