Hida City Miyagawa Pool (飛騨市宮川プール)

Flow of the course

About this spot

Hida City Miyagawa Pool in Gifu Prefecture's Hida City is an outdoor pool open on weekdays from Tuesday, July 21 to Tuesday, August 25, 2026. It's open from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., with last admission at 3:00 p.m., and closed on weekends, national holidays, and August 13-14. The facility consists of a 20-meter pool and a small pool with a fountain and slide. A length of 20 meters is just right for elementary school children to challenge themselves, and the small pool's fountain and slide let little ones splash around and have plenty of fun on their own. Fees are affordable: for Hida City residents, free for junior high school age and under, 110 yen for high school age and up; for non-residents, free for young children, 60 yen for elementary and junior high school age, and 110 yen for high school age and up. Spending time playing in the water alongside local children in the mountain-ringed village of Miyagawa makes for an experience unique to this trip.

Tips

The pool is open only on weekdays, and hours are limited to 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Note that last admission is at 3:00 p.m. It's closed on weekends, national holidays, and August 13-14. Be sure to check the opening days and hours through Hida City's official information before you go. Since it's in the mountains, the water temperature runs on the cool side. Take breaks while playing, and dry off and put on something warm as soon as you get out. The road to Miyagawa-cho continues through the mountains, so allow plenty of time to get there.

Best time to visit

Arriving right at the 1 p.m. opening gives you nearly 3 hours until closing.
