Osaki Orange Pool is an outdoor pool in Osakikamijima Town, open to the public in 2026 from Monday, July 20 to Monday, August 31. True to its name, inspired by the island known for its mikan orange production, its greatest appeal is the chance to relax in the island's calm atmosphere. Since the island isn't connected to the mainland by bridge, it doesn't draw crowds of tourists, so you can quietly enjoy water play alongside local children. Ending your day, after crossing by ferry, by swimming in the same pool as the island's kids feels less like sightseeing and more like stepping into the everyday summer life of the island.

Tips

Please always check admission fees and opening hours in advance via Osakikamijima Town's information. Shops and vending machines are limited on the island, so it's wise to bring plenty of drinks and snacks. Check the return ferry schedule in advance and decide when to leave the pool accordingly.

Best time to visit

Entering in the early afternoon means the water will have warmed up, and you'll still have plenty of time to play before your return ferry.
