Nango Park Pool is an outdoor pool open only in summer, located in Nango Park in Otsu City. In 2026 it operates from Monday, July 20 through Monday, August 31, on a two-session system, 9am-12pm and 1pm-4pm, with a break from 12pm-1pm. It has a 25m pool and a children's pool, set up so elementary schoolers who want to swim and little ones still getting used to the water can spend time in the same place. Admission is 490 yen for adults and 330 yen for junior high schoolers and younger, those 65 and older, and visitors with disabilities. Since it operates on a two-session system, arriving for the start of the afternoon session lets you enjoy a full 3 hours once the crowds from the morning session have cleared. Located in a park close to the Seta River, the greenery all around also makes for a pleasant setting.
