The Michi-no-Eki Kahoku Oguri-go Water Park is an outdoor pool in Yamaga City, open in 2026 from Saturday, July 18 to Sunday, August 23, plus Saturday, August 29 and Sunday, August 30. Because it uses groundwater, the water is clear, and its biggest appeal is how refreshingly cool it stays even in the height of summer. Three pools of different depths (30cm, 80cm, and 3m) are available, along with a diving platform, a slide, and a submarine-shaped play structure. Since you can choose an area to match age and swimming ability, everyone can find their own spot even if siblings differ in age. Changing rooms and showers are fully equipped, and small coin lockers plus rental of the required swim caps are available, so you can manage even if you didn't bring everything you need.

Tips

Check the facility's official page for that day's fees and opening hours before you go. A designated swim cap is required, so either bring one or rent one on-site. The groundwater is cold, so if you start to feel chilled, get out and rest early. The 3-meter pool is quite deep, so be sure to keep small children in the shallow pool. The coin lockers are small, so it's safer to leave large luggage in the car. Since a roadside station (michi-no-eki) is attached, you won't have trouble finding food or shopping.
