About this spot

The Kurume Citizens' Lazy River Pool is an outdoor pool inside Chuo Park, Kurume City, open in 2026 from Saturday, July 18 to Sunday, August 23, plus Saturday, August 29 and Sunday, August 30 (closed August 24-28). True to its name, the star attraction is the lazy river pool: simply floating along with the gentle current is plenty of fun on its own, letting kids who aren't strong swimmers and little ones alike spend time in the same spot as the rest of the family. Admission is 800 yen for high school students and up, 410 yen for junior high and elementary school students, and 310 yen for young children (age 4 and up). Being located inside a park in the city center means short travel time to and from the pool, which is a big plus for planning out the rest of the day.

Tips

Closed August 24-28. Check the facility's official page for that day's operating days and hours before you go. Inflatable rings really come into their own in a lazy river pool, so bring your own or check whether rentals are available on-site. Shaded spots are limited, so it's a good idea to claim a resting spot as soon as you enter. Make a habit of drinking water during the lifeguards' scheduled breaks.

Best time to visit

About 3 hours 30 minutes. Even entering after midday leaves plenty of time to play until evening
