About this spot

Pool Park Misato is an outdoor pool in Misato Town, Akita Prefecture, open from Thursday, July 23 to Sunday, August 23, 2026. While the 25-meter pool is great for proper swimming, the real star of this facility is its large kids' pool. With a mini water slide and an artificial waterfall, young children will happily slide down, get splashed, and slide again — and if left to it, they'll play for hours. Admission per visit is 300 yen for adults, 200 yen for third graders through junior high school students, and free for second graders and under when accompanied by a guardian; 100 yen off with a disability certificate. Free admission for second graders and under is a real relief for families with young children. True to Misato Town's reputation as a town of spring water, this makes for an afternoon spent in a place blessed with water.

Tips

Closed on July 27, August 3, August 13, and August 17. Since closures are set on specific dates, be sure to check Misato Town's official website for opening days and hours before you head out. Second graders and under enter free when accompanied by a guardian, but the guardian still needs to pay admission. Swim caps are generally required at public pools. The slide may have height or age restrictions, so check the on-site signage. Shade is limited, so bring a rash guard and sunscreen.

Best time to visit

Entering at 1 p.m. gives you 3 hours until evening. After 3 p.m. is a good bet, when the wait for the slide gets shorter.
