About this spot

A park on high ground in Mimata Town, beloved as a spot for cherry blossoms. Inside the park there's a walking path and a viewpoint from which you can take in the farmland of the Miyakonojo Basin and the distant mountains. In summer, the trees cast deep shade, and in the morning a breeze passes through, making for a pleasant walk. There's also playground equipment, making it a good place to get some movement in before river play.

Tips

Admission is free and there's a parking lot. It gets hot during the day, so an early-morning visit is recommended. Don't expect much beyond vending machines, so bring plenty of drinks.
