About this spot
A 6-minute walk from Hase Station on the Enoden line, this Nichiren-shu temple is known as a flower temple. The autumn leaves are typically at their best from late November to early December. The biggest highlight is the large Japanese maple just past the mountain gate, and the sight of it turning the grounds crimson creates a quiet sense of wonder. The temple is also known for its Chinese flowering crabapple in spring and hydrangeas in early summer, with flowers blooming throughout the year. Within the lively Hase area, it offers a calm place to savor the autumn leaves at leisure.
