NARAYA CAFE (Narayaan)

Flow of the course

About this spot

A cafe in an old traditional house just down the slope from Miyanoshita Station (宮ノ下駅). The building was once staff housing for the long-established Naraya Ryokan (奈良屋旅館), which dates back to the Edo period, and has been renovated into a cafe where you can enjoy sweets and tea while soaking your feet in the terrace's foot bath. The foot bath is free, and the open terrace offers a sweeping view of Hakone's outer rim mountains. The atmosphere is welcoming for families with children, making it a perfect break before setting out to explore.

Tips

Open 10:30 AM to 6:00 PM (until 5:00 PM from December to February); closed on Wednesdays and the fourth Thursday of each month. A towel for the foot bath is handy to bring.

Best time to visit

Morning, right after opening
