About this spot
This exhibition facility is located in Hatajuku, home of Hakone yosegi zaiku, a nationally designated traditional craft. Admission is free, and the facility displays marquetry tools and finished works, along with souvenirs for sale. Even children are sure to be captivated by the beauty of the geometric patterns. You can also enjoy strolling through the village of Hatajuku, once a post town on the Old Tokaido.
Tips
Open 9:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. (last admission 4:00 p.m.); closed on Mondays and during the New Year holidays. If your visit falls on a closed day, simply strolling through the village of Hatajuku still offers plenty of atmosphere.
