About this spot
A station on the JR Chuo Main Line and the gateway to sightseeing at Lake Sagami. Its appeal is the easy access, no transfers needed from central Tokyo, and it is about a 10-minute walk to Sagamiko Prefectural Park. Pick up drinks and snacks near the station, then head first toward Obara-juku.
Tips
It is about a 20-minute walk from the station to Obara-juku Honjin, or take the bus and get off at Obara for a 2-minute walk. Trains on the way back can be infrequent at certain times, so it is reassuring to check the schedule in advance.
