About this spot
A nationally registered tangible cultural property old farmhouse, relocated from the former Ashikawa family residence built in 1930 (Showa 5). The maples at the front are typically at their best from late November to early December. The combination of the thatched roof and autumn leaves makes for a picture-perfect scene, and inside you can see the traditional construction of an old-fashioned home. Admission is free. Open 10:00 AM-4:00 PM from November to March (until 5:00 PM from April to October), closed Mondays (or the following day if Monday is a holiday) and around New Year's. During the peak season, the area has in the past held a community light-up event (per Hadano City). The dates and hours for 2026 have not yet been announced, so please check the official website before heading out.
