This is ROOFTOP ILLUMINATION - Bees Bring the Light, the illumination event held at America Yama Park (アメリカ山公園), the elevated urban park spreading across the rooftop of Motomachi-Chukagai Station. It typically runs from early December to early March; last year it ran from December 4, 2025 to March 1, 2026. The dates and lighting hours for the 2026-27 season have not yet been announced, so please check the official website before heading out. A highlight is the warm light display themed around bees and honey, fitting for a park that keeps bees on-site.

Tips

You can ride the station's elevators and escalators all the way to the rooftop, making it easy to get around even with a stroller. Being able to head straight home from the station after viewing the lights is a nice plus for families with children.

Best time to visit

Evening, right after the lights turn on. The time when the sky still has a hint of blue makes for great photos
