About this spot
A one-day-only festival held at Ushioda Park Pool, where local handmade lanterns gently light up the park at night. It's typically held on a Saturday in mid-December, from 4:30 PM to 7:00 PM. Last year it was held on December 13, 2025, with the rule that it would be postponed to the following Sunday in case of rain or strong wind (the 2026 schedule has not been announced yet, so please check the organizer's announcement). Admission is free and you can come and go freely.

Tips
Since it's held on just one day, be sure to double-check the schedule and whether it has been postponed right before you go. Just after the lighting at 4:30 PM, the sky still holds a hint of blue, making for great photos.
