About this spot
A Kannon temple known as Yokohama's oldest Buddhist temple. Its main hall stands atop a stone staircase just past the shopping arcade, so you can combine your visit with the lively atmosphere of the temple town. Deeply woven into local life, the temple is especially popular during Shichi-Go-San and New Year's visits.
Tips
You'll need to climb a stone staircase to reach the main hall. If you have a stroller, consider taking turns visiting so no one is overburdened.
Best time to visit
Afternoon. Allow yourself plenty of time before heading out in the evening.
