Kawasaki City Oyama Kaido Furusato-kan
Flow of the course
About this spot
A free-admission history museum located along the old Oyama Kaido road. Through its exhibits, it clearly introduces the history and daily life of Mizonokuchi, which thrived as a post town on the Oyama pilgrimage route during the Edo period. The exhibition room is open from 10:00 to 17:00, and it is closed over the New Year holidays. Walking from Mizonokuchi Station along the road, which still retains traces of its old character, is part of the fun.
Tips
Taking a stroll along the old Oyama Kaido before or after your visit lets you encounter streetscapes that still retain the character of old merchant houses. The exhibits are compact, so it's easy to get around even with children.
Best time to visit
